The south facing sitting room is a joy to relax in whether you are enjoying a warm summer day or a cosy winter break. With a new sofa and flat screen TV with Freeview, the room also has a living flame gas fire for a really cool evening by the fire.

The sitting room is flooded with light and has lovely views over the organically managed garden and the open views beyond. You can put your feet up and relax and know that the children are safe in the garden as you watch them!

Rowan House has a wonderful selection of Staffordshire produced Burleigh pottery, giving you a real feel for the county on your holiday. It has been important to us to reflect Staffordshire in Rowan House so that it isn't just another plain holiday cottage, but gives you a sense of being in a home - and it looks beautiful too!

The dining room can be open plan to the sitting room or split into two rooms and has ample seating for 8 people to dine in style. Again with light flooding in, you can enjoy your breakfast looking into the garden or draw the curtains and lay a table cloth for a smarter evening meal.

Rowan House is very well equipped, with everything you might need for your holiday from a large range of crockery and glasses to cooking equipment, storage and cleaning products. You may enjoy cooking while you are away or just want to walk to one of the pubs in the village for a meal.

If you are bringing young children, we do have a selection of wellies in various sizes, toys and books. There is a stair gate, cot and highchair as well as steps for the sink and potties. We even have a washable nappy service for those of you wanting to leave the disposables behind! Emily has a young family too so if you have forgotten anything or could really do with a couple of scooters in the garden, please just ask.

Bedding and accessories are high quality and luxurious so that you can sink into bed in comfort. The Kingsize bedroom is large and light, with wonderful views over the open countryside.

We provide all the bedding and towels so that you don’t need to pack the car with unwanted bulk! The crisp white cotton bedding is of the highest quality and beds are made up on your arrival. We are also able to provide bedding for the cot and put me up if you need it. Tea towels, table cloth and napkins are all left for you too.

Guests often comment on our beds saying that they haven't had such a good nights sleep in ages. Not only are the beds of a high quality, with beautiful, white cotton, ironed bedding, all the bedrooms are light, airy and welcoming with good storage and peaceful atmosphere.
